Three board positions will renew this year.

Per our bylaws, two positions are designated by SCE Federal Credit Union and are not subject to the election process.
One board position is open for election.

David Dan (For a term of one year)

David is the President and Founder of Power Settlements. Power Settlements provides energy market participants with software solutions. Prior to starting Power Settlements in 2007, David worked at various consulting firms including Deloitte and Touché, where he consulted for many electric utilities companies. David also serves on the advisory board of Azusa Pacific University’s Department of Engineering & Computer Science. His business acumen and a strong passion for financial literacy are characteristics that offer valuable benefits to the CFE.

SCE FCU DESIGNATED APPOINTEES

Kathleen Cardenas (For a term of three years)

Mrs. Cardenas is in her ninth year serving as a Board Director of the Center for Financial Empowerment and served as Chair for four years. As the Manager of Executive Administration at SCE Federal Credit Union, Kathleen serves as Liaison to the SCE FCU Board of Directors and Supervisory Committee members, as well as the Vendor Management team and the Disaster Recovery team. She has worked at SCE FCU for 22 years. Kathleen holds a Certificate in Professional Meeting Planning from California State University, Fullerton. Along with her husband, son, and daughter, Kathleen has volunteered for many worthy causes sponsored by Southern California Edison and SCE Federal Credit Union, including City of Hope, American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life, and various youth and church organizations.

Kenji Coleman (For a term of three years)

Mr. Coleman is a long-time supporter of the CFE’s work, and also serves on the Board of SCE Federal Credit Union and the Board of the Asian American Professional Association (AAPA). He is retired from Southern California Edison after serving 28 years in a variety of roles including as Manager of the Project Management group in SCE’s Transmission organization.  In addition to several distinguished achievements, Kenji holds an MBA from Cal Poly Pomona and a Certificate in Project Management from UC Irvine.
